Semi-rigid paper mount, 30 x 42 cm

In the foreground, the World War I fighter ace Francesco Baracca poses in front of his biplane, bearing the emblem of his favorite logo, the cavallino rampante.
Enzo Ferrari and Francesco were friends, and after the latter's death in 1929, Enzo Ferrari asked Mrs. Baracca for permission to appropriate the logo to make it the official emblem of his Scuderia. It was modified by Enzo Ferrari to become his official logo.
