Pair of antique chairs – solid wood and leather – 19th century – Historic European style
A beautiful pair of antique chairs dating from the late 19th century, crafted in solid wood and reflecting classic European historicist design.
The chairs feature elegant turned and spiral legs (barley twist) connected by a strong H-shaped stretcher, typical for quality furniture of the period. The construction is robust and well-proportioned, demonstrating traditional craftsmanship and durability.
Both the seat and backrest are upholstered in natural leather, finished with decorative brass studs. The leather has developed a warm and attractive patina over time. The backrests are further enhanced by decorative brass handles, adding both functionality and refinement.
Condition:
Good antique condition with visible signs of age and use. Wear to the leather and minor marks on the wood consistent with the 19th century. Structurally solid and stable.
