Description from the seller

This hand-carved and hand-painted wooden piece is a remarkable example of folk art, probably European (Alpine, Alsatian, or Tyrolean type) or from similar artisan traditions of the 19th century. It features a polychrome floral decoration typical of wedding furniture or decorative woodwork of that era.

The object bears a richly colored floral motif with pink flowers (resembling carnations or stylized roses), green leaves, and blue ribbons. The lower part displays acanthus leaf motifs and scrolls, classic characteristics found in both Art Nouveau style and rustic traditional furniture.
