Splendid hand-crafted double bedspread of high artisanal manufacture, entirely made by hand using the crochet technique. This piece represents a classic example of Italian domestic craftsmanship from the mid-20th century (roughly the 1950s/1960s), typical of the era's most refined wedding trousseaus.

Technical and artistic features:
Design: The coverlet is composed of a dense weave of square modules (tiles) joined together. Each module features a large central rosette with raised petals (made with the popcorn/seed stitch), which gives a fascinating three-dimensional effect to the floral pattern.
Material: Fine, pure cotton yarn in natural white/ivory tones, sturdy yet soft to the touch, typical of vintage yarns that hold their shape over time.
Work: Each single detail was executed manually with millimetric precision. The edge is finished with a delicate scalloped trim that follows the geometric design of the piece.
Conditions:
The item presents itself in excellent vintage condition. Despite its age, the fibers are intact and there are no noticeable tears, repairs, or obvious stains. It has been preserved with extreme care.
