Tuner Pioneer TX 9800, top-of-the-line in the Blue series (Fluoroscan), designed to be paired mainly with the Pioneer SA-9800 (top-of-the-line amplifier in the series).
The two-stage RF amplifier TX-9800 input stage incorporates a five-position variable capacitor and three double-gate MOSFETs.
A capacitance-controlled double-tuned circuit is inserted between the stages of the RF amplifier. These features deliver exceptional performance, such as an IHF sensitivity of 8.8 dBf, a spur-free response better than 110 dB, and an image rejection ratio above 120 dB.
It has Quartz Sampling Lock tuning and excellent reception performance. It is equipped with narrow/wide bandwidth filters, low distortion (0.04% in mono), high selectivity (85 dB FM), and an exclusive touch-sensitive tuning knob with lock.
All of these characteristics make it a High‑End Tuner
