Italian-made Space Age compact dressing table with a matching nesting stool, dating from the 1970s, featuring a chromed open metal frame with two hexagonal smoked glass tops and a zebra-velvet upholstered seat, in good vintage condition with minor patina and wear.
Description from the seller
Rare compact vanity with a nested stool, made in Italy in the 1970s.
The set consists of a chrome metal frame with an open architectural design, forming a geometric composition typical of Space Age design. Two hexagonal smoked-glass tops rest on this structure, creating a light, airy visual effect.
The matching stool, mounted on casters, fits neatly under the structure, allowing space-saving and modular use.
This type of furniture evokes the work of Italian designers such as Romeo Rega or Willy Rizzo, with an approach blending polished chrome, tinted glass and graphic lines inspired by the automotive and architectural world of the 1970s.
The seat has been reupholstered in a zebra-print fabric, bringing a contemporary contrast while respecting the decorative spirit of the era.
Condition:
- General vintage good condition.
- Chrome structure showing a light patina and some signs of use
- Smoked glass tops in good condition with micro-scratches from use
- Seat reupholstered (not original)
- No structural play, stable and functional overall.
Additional information:
- Unsigned piece
- Italian work in the style of Romeo Rega / Willy Rizzo
- Decorative and functional object, ideal as a vanity, side table, or compact storage furniture
