Silver coin of 250 Fils with a design characteristic of FAO commemorative issues, highlighting on the reverse a set of finely engraved date palms that symbolize the country’s agricultural wealth, with great detail in leaves and trunks. The obverse presents the value within a balanced composition with Arabic legends and stylized vegetal elements. The piece shows excellent preservation, with intense original luster, clean fields and very sharp reliefs, practically no signs of wear. This coin reflects the emphasis on agricultural development in Iraq during the second half of the 20th century, in the context of international food cooperation programs.
