Description from the seller
Noriaki Araki, one of Japan's leading photographers, has published 500 photobooks to date and is highly regarded worldwide. He began photographing under the influence of his father, a clog maker and amateur photographer, and after graduating from the Photo Printing Technology Department at the Faculty of Technical Sciences of the University of Chiba, he worked at Dentsu. While he made advertising photos, he explored new photographic arts with corporate equipment and announced sensational works such as 'Oh Japan' and 'Sentimental Journey' since the 1970s. This book, 'Tokyo Eros', is a photobook published in 2006. As seen on the cover, 'City, Married Woman and Eros Swirl', it contains symbolic buildings of Tokyo such as the Tokyo Tower, Rainbow Bridge, Ginza Mitsukoshi, and alleys and shopping streets full of urban life, as well as children playing in cities and parks. It is a book consisting of photographs of 'Married Woman Eros' (published in 'Weekly Mass'), known as Araki's life work, starting from a photo of Tokyo. A dynamic layout with both vertical and horizontal orientations, with one photo cut on each page, is one of the well-known features of Suzuki's magazines. Since this is a second-hand book, there may be scratches, dirt, scuffs, or stains, but this will not affect the text or photos.
