The book is a wide biography, complemented by supplementary viewpoints. There is an anthology section of poems dedicated to Picasso, from Apollinaire to Max Jacob, from Reverdy to Prévert, and to young Italian poets. The second section collects conversations between Picasso and Michel Leris, René Char, Georges Bataille, and many others. The third section, the monographic part proper, presents some contributions from national and international scholarship. Completing the monograph is about a hundred illustrations, photos, and reproductions.
The volume is presented in excellent overall condition. Cover well preserved. Softcover binding is tight. Interior pages clean with no stains, creases, or underlining. Excellent copy for collectors/for consultation.
