Bronica S2 body (serial CB37275) with Bronica S2A mount, suitable for 120/220 film, in good physical condition but not tested for functionality, sold AS IS for repair or parts.
Description from the seller
Beautiful but currently not functioning Bronica S body.
Body serial number: CB37275
I am offering this beautiful camera body for repair or as parts/components. I think this body can be brought back to working condition by someone with knowledge of these cameras.
I can wind the camera, but the shutter can only be released by using the switch (below the release button). Then I can see the shutter curtain move downward.
The shutter speed dial for speeds from 1/30 sec to 1/1000 sec all seem to operate at the same rate, in my opinion.
I cannot get the speed any slower than 1/30 sec; the knob is a bit sticky and I don’t want to force anything.
If I push the mirror down manually from inside the camera, the first shutter curtain also comes down. So there is nothing wrong with the shutter curtains; they are still intact and in good working order.
I think the internal problem lies in old dried-out greases that hold some little button or spring, causing the mirror not to raise or lower in sync with turning the winding handle.
So when I have wound the winding handle, I can only take a shot by using the switch at the bottom. This switch is really only intended for raising the mirror to enable quiet shots afterwards.
In other words… I am offering this camera for repair or, if desired, for parts.
There are small signs of use visible; see the photos, which are also part of the description.
So, due to the well-known drawback, I am selling this Bronica S body with matte screen as AS IS. So in the condition as it is and as known to the buyer. I therefore do not accept returns.
I bought this camera together with a number of other cameras from the family of a deceased person, who know me as a collector. Since I am not a repairer, I am selling this camera to recover part of my purchase costs.
Also take a look at my other listings.
It will be packed very carefully and securely and shipped with a Track & Trace number and insurance.
NOTA:
I always ship my goods with a Track & Trace number and insurance, due to possible damage and theft.
Anyone who cannot agree to this should please not place bids.
Thanks in advance.
