A splendid book and a period portrait of the transition from static photography with large cameras on tripods to the dynamic reportage and street photography of the 1950s by famous Leica master photographers Alfred Eisenstaedt/Henri Cartier-Bresson/Dr. Paul Wolff/Philippe Halsman/Robert Doisneau/Walther Benser, and so on. And the famous Leica names Elmar/Summitar/Summicron/Summarit/Summitar. The book cover is mediocre; the book itself is beautiful with slight discoloration along the top edge and on the inner gutter of the first and last pages. A splendid American Leica time capsule.
