Description from the seller

-Glass
-Good vintage condition, see photos
-Insured shipping

Cor Schellen (1944-2016) learned glassblowing in practice. In 1958 Cor was taken out of school by his father to blow glass beads at the Leerdam glass factory (the Hut).

After several years working as a glassblower, Cor Schellen left the glass industry and returned in 1997. In that year there was a symposium at the Glasblazerij Leerdam (formerly the Houten Hut, Glascentrum) and Cor Schellen was invited to come blow glass.
He seized this opportunity to work with glass again.

In the workshop, Cor Schellen thrives. He often collaborates with Marinke van Zandwijk, from whom he learned the early basics of the glass craft. Cor Schellen loves making substantial objects. Plain or colorful, with or without air bubbles—but always crisp in the Leerdam style, typical of the Leerdam Hutters.
