Description from the seller
CHINA. 20 Cents. 27th year of the Republic (1938).
- Value: 20 Cents.
- Year: 27th year of the Republic (1938).
- Inscriptions: Obverse: portrait of Sun Yat-sen with Chinese inscription “中華民國二十七年”. Reverse: denomination “貳角” in Chinese characters within a stylized central design, with side characters and a geometric border.
- Grading: MS63 (NGC).
Nickel 20 Cent coin with a left-facing portrait of Sun Yat-sen on the obverse, in sober, realistic style, framed by a continuous geometric border that gives the design a distinctive character. The reverse presents a more abstract composition, with the denomination in Chinese characters integrated into a central structure of straight lines, surrounded by decorative elements that reinforce the symmetry of the whole. The specimen shows solid preservation, with the original luster still visible, fields with light contact marks and well-defined relief, in accordance with its grade. Issued during a period of great instability in China, it reflects the symbolic continuity of the Republic in a time of conflict.
Disclaimer: For orders shipped outside the European Union, I want to leave absolutely clear that I do ship from Spain, which means that if the package is sent to any country outside the European Union, and/or inside EU that has special tax agreement (example: Canary Islands), it might be stopped in your local customs and they might ask you to pay taxes. This is a customs legal procedure and it is completely out of our control. Thanks for your understanding.
