Tichelaar Makkum - Plate - Earthenware

Origin: Makkum Tichelaar, Netherlands

Diameter: 22.2 cm.
Dating: 1950s-1970s.
Decoration: hand-painted in blue with peacock tail decoration.
Back: stamped with the Makkum mark TT = Tinus Tichelaar.
Condition: good, only a small edge flake on the back.

On the back there are clear traces of the supports (pegs) used during firing – an authentic feature that belongs to traditionally made earthenware.
