Yunost / Junost 35mm rangefinder camera, tested and working with good condition.
Description from the seller
This camera is a rare Yunost (also written Junost), a jewel of Soviet production made by GOMZ (Lomo) of Leningrad between the late 1950s and early 1960s. Clearly inspired by the design of high-end European rangefinder cameras of the era, the Yunost stands out for its robust build and elegant, functional aesthetics. It is a 35mm film rangefinder camera, now particularly appreciated by East European lens collectors for its relative rarity compared to more common models like Fed or Zorki.
The specimen is equipped with a fixed T-32 (triplet) 45mm lens with maximum aperture f/2.8, known for delivering sharp image rendition and pleasant contrast, typical of Soviet lenses of that period. The focal-plane shutter handles shutter speeds from 1/10 to 1/250 of a second, plus B. An interesting feature of this model is the rapid-load lever positioned on the top, allowing smooth and fast film advancement.
The camera is presented with its original brown molded leather case, which bears the manufacturer’s stamped logo and has helped preserve its aesthetic condition over time. The body features a satin metal finish with the black coating still well preserved. This piece is not only a photographic instrument but a fragment of Soviet technological history, perfect for enriching a vintage design display or for being tested by analog photography enthusiasts seeking an authentic, manual shooting experience. The item is sold in the conditions visible in the photos; a technical test is recommended to verify full mechanical operability.
