An Austrian commemorative coin dedicated to Walther von der Vogelweide, one of the most important poets and minstrels of medieval German literature. The obverse features a highly dynamic artistic composition, in which the author is depicted in an idealized manner, accompanied by poetic and natural symbols that reinforce his link to courtly lyric poetry. The reverse stands out for its heraldic character, showing the regional shields of Austria arranged around the face value, which provides a notable symbolic and political content. The specimen retains visible original luster, grade MS65, offering an attractive combination of historical, artistic and numismatic value within the interwar Austrian commemorative series.
