Icon - Nicholas the Wonderworker - Wood

Old hand-painted Russian icon on a wooden panel, probably 19th – early 20th century.

The icon depicts Saint Nicholas (recognizable by the bishop’s attire and the Gospel book), with Cyrillic inscriptions still visible at the top. On the left and right are small medallions featuring religious figures (typical for this type of icon).

- This is an original old piece, not a modern reproduction.
- The panel is composed of several wooden parts with reinforcements at the back (classic technique).

Condition:

* Clear signs of wear and aging
* Crack in the wood (see photos)
* Paint layer partly damaged
- It still gives the piece a nice authentic look
