AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

GENERAL:

Are you looking for a charming, authentic British roadster? We offer: a very good and original Dutch MG Midget MK3 from 1969. This classic breathes the atmosphere of the 1960s and is an honest car that has withstood the test of time remarkably well. An ideal driving car for the enthusiast who is looking for a solid base with a beautiful character.

BODYWORK & PAINTWORK:

The body of this Midget is in very good condition with no current rust. About 20 years ago the car was fully repainted because the original paint had worn, which is why it still looks radiant today. The chrome work is in exceptional condition and looks nearly new. The underside has been prophylactically treated with a bitumen coating and is barely rusty, although over time a few welding jobs will be needed to bring it back to absolute top condition.

TECHNICAL:

Technically this MG has been well maintained. The engine, gearbox, clutch and brakes function properly. The car starts readily and the exhaust is in good condition. Recently the car had an inspection and a new battery was fitted. The lighting is fully in order. The four tires still have sufficient tread, but given their 20-year age they should be replaced for optimal driving comfort and safety.

Note: The left door lock currently operates somewhat stiffly.

INTERIOR:

The interior breathes the vibe of a true English sports car. The synthetic leather seats are neatly cared for and free of tears. The dashboard looks good and all door trim shows only light signs of use. Although the floor coverings have seen better days, this provides a nice opportunity to tailor the interior to your own taste. The convertible top has a few cracks, but the folding mechanism works excellently.

DOCUMENTS:

As an original Dutch car this MG has the proper papers. The history and Dutch origin make this a transparent and honest example for the next owner.

VIEWING/PICK UP:

The car is viewable by appointment and can be collected by appointment. The MG is roadworthy and ready to be cherished by a new owner.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

This Midget is delivered very complete with various extras that make ownership more pleasant:

- Special wheel nut keys and jack.
- Spare wheel including neat cover.
- A special cover for the interior (tonneau cover), ideal for parking with the top down.

An honest and characterful MG Midget that with a little love can shine again in full glory on the road!

Disclaimer

Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. Neither the seller nor Catawiki is responsible for the registration of the vehicle in your country and will not accept a cancellation for your failure to register the vehicle. We also recommend that, if possible, you arrange a viewing with the seller before placing a bid.
