AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Table lamp in Japanese style – Ceramic & wood
1960–1980 – Netherlands (in Asian style)

Atmospheric table lamp with a ceramic base in a pronounced Japanese style, presumably produced in the Netherlands in the second half of the 20th century.

The lamp is characterized by an octagonal, facet-cut shape with finely worked decorations of floral arrangements in vases. The decoration is executed in warm red/orange tones, combined with deep blue and subtle gold accents, which strongly recalls traditional Japanese Imari-style influences.

The ceramic base sits on a solid wooden stand, which provides stability and a nice contrast with the refined decoration. The pleated fabric lampshade emits a warm and atmospheric light.

Condition:
In good vintage condition. The ceramic is intact without cracks or restorations. Light signs of use on the wooden base and lampshade appropriate to age. Working (see photos).

Features:

* Material: ceramic, wood, fabric
* Style: Japanese / Asian-inspired (Imari-style)
* Period: ca. 1960–1980
* Probable origin: Netherlands
* E27 fitting
