The broad frequency range in the discrete amplifiers is achieved thanks to Wide Range Amplifier Technology (WRAT) and a high-current power supply for all six channels. The sound quality is improved by using thick copper strips for the mass connections instead of the usual copper traces on a circuit board. The TX-SR501E has a five-step adjustable filter from 60 to 150 Hz, which allows the crossover frequency for the subwoofer to be perfectly adjusted to a wide range of speakers. As an extra there is the "Easy Set" speaker configuration and the color-coded input and output jacks that make installation extremely easy.
