Pouring vessel / finely chased decanter in 800 silver - Italy - Mid 20th century
A solid 800 silver pouring vessel, splendid example of Italian handcrafted silverware from the mid-20th century. Under the base there are the legal hallmarks: the '800' mark in an oval and the silversmith's mark, which, however, cannot be read.
The item comes from a prestigious historic Roman residence and belonged to the family of Pope Pius XII (Eugenio Pacelli). It has a very small dent.

versatoio in argento 800 massiccio, splendido esempio di argenteria artigianale italiana della metà del XX secolo. Sotto la base sono presenti i punzoni di legge: il marchio "800" in ovale e il punzone dell'argentiere che però non si riesce a leggere.
L'oggetto proviene da una prestigiosa dimora storica romana ed è appartenuto alla famiglia di Papa Pio XII (Eugenio Pacelli). Ha una piccolissima ammaccatura
