AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Legras vase, Belgrade model, unsigned, Art Nouveau, 1890–1919. Country of production: France, stylized floral decoration, plant tendrils with nature-inspired motifs, detailed gold on an opaque green background described as either 'imperial green' or 'forest green', satin finish with a texture that is slightly rough yet glossy. Exceptional vases from the period around 1900, typical of Art Nouveau. The form is particularly interesting in a trumpet or spindle shape, with a widened base and a lobed or indented upper rim, very lively; the green background is of high quality with beautiful gilding representing the foliage. François-Théodore Legras, born December 27, 1839 in the hamlet of La Grande Catherine in Claudon and died August 2, 1916 in Paris, was a French master glassmaker. Regarding condition, there is wear to the gilding and some scratches, signs of time. The vase is in good condition considering the period and the material. The photos allow you to appreciate the quality of this vase. Dimensions: Height: 42 cm; diameter of the belly at its widest point: 14 cm. An important detail: The signature: many Legras pieces are unsigned (intended for a broader market).
