AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Magnificent set of twelve vermeil coffee spoons, Napoleon model.

This “Napoleon” model, in Empire style, is still manufactured by the famous house Odiot.

The handles in vermeil are decorated with palmettes, cornucopias and caduceus. A blank shield allows engraving your monogram or coat of arms.

The spoons are in a dealer’s case.

Each piece is stamped:
. Minerva 1st title before 1973 for silver 950/‰
. Maker’s mark: H & Cie with a rose branch and a star for Hénin and Compagnie, active from 1872 to 1974

The silversmith who made these spoons is Hénin et Compagnie, but the latter was a subcontractor to Odiot, just as other prestigious silversmiths such as Granvigne or Puiforcat.

Rare set of spoons of a superb and very elegant model created in homage to the First Empire by great French silversmith houses.
