Description from the seller

Superb and very heavy solid-silver and vermeil ice-serving set by the silversmith Puiforcat.

It consists of twelve individual ice shovels and a service set including a shovel and a knife.

The individual spoons and the service set are in Louis XVI style with a classic and elegant motif of crossed ribbons accented with acanthus leaves at the base of the blade and at the junction between the handle and the spoon bowl.
The spoon bowls are vermeil.

Each piece is hallmarked: the Minerva head, first standard, before 1973 for 950/°° silver; maker’s mark EP with a knife for Puiforcat, founded in 1820.

Superb, very substantial set, in a chic and timeless model!

14 cm long for the individual shovels; 25 and 26 cm long for the service cutlery.

351 grams for the 12 shovels; 247 grams for the service set.

598 grams for the whole set.

Good general condition. Minor wear from use and on the vermeil, especially on the service set. Slight deformation at the base of the large service shovel.

In-person pickup in Paris or insured Colissimo shipping. France: 20€; Europe: 30€; World: 75€
