Library table - Mahogany, Leather - mahogany ministerial desk

This piece was made by a skilled cabinetmaker. It is a double-facade pedestal desk with nine drawers on each side, a traditional English-style desk (referred to in English as a pedestal desk or partners desk), crafted from solid mahogany with veneer. This type of furniture was popularized in England during the 19th century, mainly in the Victorian era (late Chippendale, Regency or Victorian styles). The desk includes all original keys, and the red leather top gives a beautiful patina and is bordered by gold marquetry. Some wear from use is present in places, but there are no folds or cracks detected.
