DBX Model 222 (Type II) Noise Reduction System Vintage – Made in Japan / Functional

For sale is an external dbx Model 222 Type II Tape Noise Reduction System, made in Japan in the early 80s. It is an excellent niche device for collectors and enthusiasts of analog recordings on cassette or tape recorders. Condition and technical details: Functionality: 100% fully functional. It has been tested, switches the functions correctly (Encode / Decode / Bypass), and the potentiometers and buttons work without background noise or hiss.
Aesthetics: Very good visual condition (no deep scratches on the front panel, clean casing).
Provenance: Original, clearly marked "Made in Japan".
Utility: Reduces background noise (tape hiss) by up to 30 dB and extends dynamic range. It also has a dedicated function for decoding special vinyls formatted in the dbx Disc system. The device is excellent for integration into a vintage audio system with cassette decks or Reel-to-Reel devices (tape recorder)
