Box - .800 silver, Vermeil - Pill case

Material: Silver with mark 800 (800 parts of silver per 1000), a very common standard alloy in European silverware.
Internal Vermeil: The interior is lined with vermeil, i.e., silver gilded through a galvanic process. This finish not only serves an aesthetic purpose but also protects the metal from oxidation and prevents a metallic taste if used for food or tobacco.
Decoration: The surface features a dense pattern of leafy scrolls and floral motifs, created with repoussé/incision techniques (bulino)
