Description from the seller
Here is a splendid opportunity for vintage photography collectors: a fascinating folding camera ZEISS IKON NETTAR, complete with its original brown leather case. This model, produced in Germany between the thirties and fifties, represents the manufacturing excellence of the Zeiss Ikon brand in a compact, portable format. The camera is fitted with a Novar-Anastigmat lens with a maximum aperture of f/6.3 and a focal length of 7.5 cm, mounted on a Telma shutter that offers several shutter speeds in addition to B and T. The folding design remains an example of functional elegance, with the bellows in excellent cosmetic condition that opens smoothly by pressing the release button. The body is covered in black faux leather with chrome fittings that preserve much of their original luster. The specimen up for auction is accompanied by a rigid leather carrying case, which has protected the instrument over decades, preserving its structure. A ZEISS IKON NETTAR of this type is perfect both for display in an antique shop window, and for anyone looking to try analog medium‑format photography, given the robustness and simplicity of use that made this series famous. A piece of photographic history that should not be missing in a collection dedicated to great German brands.
