Heavy antique archaic bronze Aquamanile / Lavabo / water vessel / thrower, with satyr head - Bronze, copper.

Beautifully patinated bronze aquamanile/ewer, stylish antique object.
An Aquamanile was used to wash the hands during religious / liturgical rites, such as dinner, blessings, baptisms, etc.

The holder, through-holes, spout and funnel are solid cast parts.
The eyes are stylized lion heads.
The spout is a stylized satyr head.
