We present an elegant authentic Nepalese rug, entirely handmade in Nepal, dating roughly between 1950 and 1960.

The piece is made of high-quality wool on a cotton foundation, with a dense, compact, and very tight weave, characteristic of traditional mid-20th-century Nepalese production. It stands out for its thick, even pile, as well as its notable weight and structural solidity.

The design features a deep red central field framed by a green border with stylized vegetal motifs in the corners, with a sober and balanced aesthetic typical of classic export Nepalese carpets.

Condition: very good overall. The rug has no stains or tears. Only light superficial cleaning is recommended to refresh the colors.

An excellent quality rug, ideal for both decorative use and for collection.
