Born in Mont-de-Marsan in the Landes, on October 3, 1909, Rob Roy (a pseudonym formed from the initials of his name Robert de la Rivière) was, from his youth, a passionate enthusiast of automobiles and drawing.

Rob Roy continually drew, painted, and sketched every event that crossed his life. It was an instinctive need that led him to refine his sense of observation to better capture the moment, the movement, and the action. Thanks to this gift, he brought to life the racing cars of the golden years, the Vintages, and thus left an illustrious testament of the era.

Il sut, grâce à ce don, faire vivre les voitures de compétition des belles années, les Vintages, et laissa ainsi un témoignage illustre de l'époque.
