AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Beautiful - an antique 19th-century Victorian silver-plated biscuit box.
It features an engraved Victorian-style foliage motif on the body.
The cylindrical container is set on a matching footed tray base.
It has a hinged lid with a beaded edge detail.

this lovely Victorian biscuit barrel is in good condition overall, the silver plating shines up beautifully still - there are a few light areas of ware over some of the decoration and notable specs of heavy tarnish over the lid but as shown in the photos all adding to the aged charm and character of the piece.

It's of traditional rounded form, profusely decorated all over with an Aesthetic floral leaf design - the detailing is superb and looks absolutely fantastic on display.

It hinges open to the reveal the silver plated interior - shines up beautifully also and clearly hasn't been used much if at all over the years.

It comes fixed on to it's original tray base which is supported by three leaf feet.

It measures around 450g.
