This item is an antique carafe from the Jugendstil period (Art Nouveau), made by C.E. Deffner from Germany.
• Material: The carafe is crafted from copper and brass.

• Interior: The inside of the carafe is tin-lined.
• Condition: authentic with some light wear.
Very imaginatively designed with the monkey as a hinge.
The lid opens and makes the monkey stand upright.
Its hind legs are the hinge.
The tail the handle.
And with the forelegs it holds the lid in place.
