Design
The Titania from Luceplan resembles a colorfully adorned zeppelin that seems to hover in the air. The housing consists of an aluminum frame with the light source in the middle. The unconventional pendant lamp was designed in 1989 by Alberto Meda and Paolo Rizzatto and has won numerous awards, including the Compasso d'Oro-ADI, the Design Plus, and the SIL Lighting Prize in Paris.
The Titania offers many possibilities for individual design. Color filters in pink, yellow, light blue, or purple can be placed on the side, immersing the elliptical lamp in the chosen color, while the light radiates downward and upward in pure white. Whether mounted classically or at an angle, the Titania gives every space a subtly playful accent and becomes a decorative focal point in indoor lighting through its distinctive light effect.

Function & light
The pendant fixture impresses not only with its iconic design but also with its thoughtful functionality: thanks to an integrated counterweight, it is continuously height-adjustable and flexibly adaptable to different room situations. With a suitable dimmer and a matching lamp, a stepless adjustment of brightness is also possible.
The distinctive ribbed form creates a colorful play of light on the sides, while the middle section remains unaffected, enabling an even white light emission upward and downward. The result is a unique lighting scenario with a atmospheric effect.
The Titania is ideal for use above dining tables, coffee tables, or counters. But it also proves its qualities as ambient lighting for kitchens, living rooms, or study rooms. For brilliant color rendering, an LED retrofit with a high color rendering index is recommended.

Quality
The Titania pendant lamp is made from a combination of high-quality materials. The striking slatted structure consists of lightweight aluminum, contributing to the characteristic shape while remaining dimensionally stable. Inside, a steel-reinforced supporting frame provides extra stability. As is customary with Luceplan, Titania combines precise finishing with thoughtful material use.
