TED-OPTALIX Saint-Germain transistor radio from 1962 in excellent condition, tested and working, with a garnet-red leather case, two pieces total (radio and case), radio 16 x 9.8 x 2.7 cm, case 18 x 12 x 4 cm, weight 0.5 kg, serial SG.02964, limited edition gift for VIPs.

TED/OPTALIX transistor radio refined object and well playing

The proposed transistor radio model SAINT-GERMAIN was manufactured
by the company T.E.D. (TECHNIQUE ET DÉCORATION) later known as
OPTALIX in 1962. The housing is made of polyester resin overlaid with black
leather, the brass parts are gold-plated. The front grille is made of perforated metal.
The housing is rather thin and has rounded shape making it a really stylish design
object. The cabinet body opens in two parts exhibiting the electronic circuit with
the speaker, and the battery compartments. The housing has a shiny aspect without
damage, There is a stand on the back of the radio to keep it upright and an earphone
socket. All of this makes the radio for a very rich-looking "pocketbook" radio. This model
is a limited edition designed as a gift for VIPs.
The radio is displayed in a beautiful garnet-red-coloured leather case.
The radio plays on the wavebands LW(GO) and MW(PO).
The right wheel is for volume and on/off switch
The left wheel is for the station selection.
A switch inside the radio (when open) is for wavelength selector (LW, MW) .

Four 1.5 volt batteries (LR6/AA) are required to operate the radio.
The last two photos are the advertisements of the TED transistor radio
with its technical details (not included in the sale). A copy of the documents
will be included with the radio with a copy of the instructions for use.
The original guarantee card is included, nevertheless, the warranty date has,
of course, expired.
