Two-piece aluminium set designed by Joris Wintgens for Offsite, comprising a table (75 cm high, 60 cm wide, 20 cm deep) and a stool (45 cm high, 38 cm wide) with five legs, made from aluminium offcuts from Nedal and finished with a glass‑blasted surface and a transparent matte powder coat, in new condition, Netherlands origin, estimated period 2026, in Dutch design style.
Description from the seller
Made from scrap pieces of aluminum from the extrusion process of producer Nedal, one of the largest aluminum extruders in the Netherlands.
The first part that enters this process through the mold is irregular and is routinely cut off.
Joris Wintgens used these pieces as legs for a small table and a stool.
The table is 75 cm high, 60 cm wide and 20 cm deep.
The stool is 45 cm high and 38 cm wide, and stands on five legs.
The shape of each leg is not designed, but arose from the production process and therefore feels both industrial and natural.
They are sold as a set because they reinforce each other—in material, in logic and in presence.
The surface of both pieces is first glass-bead blasted, then treated with a transparent matte powder coat.
The natural color of the aluminum is brought to the surface, while the coating protects against scratches and stains.
Each is a one-off.
To be seen during GLUE Utrecht, May 8, 9 and 10, 2025.
