Description from the seller

Antique brass candlesticks (set) – ca. 1880–1920 – Dutch/Belgian – 3-footed – ecclesiastical style

Beautiful set of two antique brass candlesticks, executed in a classical design with clear ecclesiastical influences. The elegant, spiraled stem and characteristic three-footed base give these candlesticks a timeless and authentic appearance.

The candlesticks are likely of Dutch or Belgian origin, based on construction, design, and finish. This type was produced around 1880–1920 for both domestic use and religious contexts.

Although the candlesticks appear identical at first glance, closer inspection reveals small differences in details and finish — typical of artisanal production from this period.

Materials & construction

Massive brass
Assembled from multiple parts (visible joints and screws)
Crafted by hand (partly hand-finished)

Dimensions & weight

Height: approx. 29 cm
Foot diameter: approx. 9 cm
Total weight: 1 kg (both together)

Condition

In good, used condition with normal signs of wear and a nice patina
One candlestick has a slightly loose foot, which can make it look a bit tilted from certain angles (see photos)
Otherwise stable and decoratively well usable

Special features

Classic, timeless appearance
Decorative in both antique and modern interiors
Set (two pieces)
