Carriage - Walnut

Ancient Sicilian cart key, a solid walnut wood structure, composed of hand-forged iron known as “rabiscu” (arabesque) or "nfrascatura".
The artifact is rich in Italian popular history.
Originally positioned at the rear of the cart, this structure served both as an essential decorative element and to close the functional components of the vehicle.
The piece still retains its original varnish. Dating from the late 19th to early 20th century.
