Rococo Door handle (7) - 1850-1900 - Antique door hardware

Antique door handles: 3 sets and 1 loose piece, executed in the lavish Louis XV style (Neo-Rococo).
These sets are made of heavy, solid brass and date from around 1890-1900.
The design is a textbook example of the French formal vocabulary from the Fin de siècle. A classic example of the French design language from that era.
The escutcheons and handles are richly decorated with asymmetrical rocaille motifs, elegant scrolls, and stylized leaf ornaments. The organic, flowing forms give this set a very luxurious and authentic appearance.
