Architectural ornament - 20th century - Verona Red Columns

Stunning and unprecedented marble column from NE Italy (Verona). (Verona Rosso). Can support a very large garden statue, with a diameter of 0.50 at the top and slightly rounded outward. See the last photo. Downward, lightly and playfully modeled with a ground diameter also 0.50 m. The whole consists of a solid block of marble, which is extremely rare. Estimated weight about 350 kg.
The height measures 0.87 m. This type of marble is widely used as flooring in churches and palaces, and is also commonly used for architectural and decorative elements. Please note that the column shows small chips, a sign of the passage of time, which makes the object even more authentic. In agreement with the buyer, the column can also be delivered by the seller up to 1200 km from Brussels. No sales outside Europe.
