Description from the seller
The Yamaha DSP-E390 is a digital sound field processor from the 1990s, designed to expand a stereo setup into a system. The device provides center and rear amplification and uses Yamaha’s DSP technology to simulate different acoustic spaces, such as cinema or concert hall. It is not a full AV, but a supplement to an existing stereo amplifier. Especially in older home cinema setups it was used to enable Dolby Pro Logic surround. Today it is mainly interesting for vintage hi-fi enthusiasts and retro home setups.
Specifications:
Center power: 60 W (8 ohm, 1 kHz)
Rear power: 15 W + 15 W (8Ω, 1 kHz)
Dolby Pro Logic & Dolby Surround support
4 DSP sound programs + cinema modes
Test tone generator for speaker calibration
Automatic input balance control
Designed for use with stereo
The Yamaha works absolutely excellent.
