Description from the seller

The Dupérier collection was issued by Christofle in 1982. It is inspired by a piece created by Louis Dupérier, after whom it is named. Granted master status in 1706, this silversmith of the early 18th century embodies the Louis XIV style. The motifs inspired by antiquity are prominent: gadroons, palmettes, rosettes… However, they remain strictly organized in a symmetrical composition. The girandole, pairing elements of the shaft with more contemporary ones, demonstrates the House’s ability to draw on historical models while reinterpreting them at the end of the 20th century. The Christofle House offers the Flambeau (21.5 cm) and the Dupérier pre-owned chandelier, embodying Christofle’s grounding in heritage and modernity.
