Rare natural Coco de Mer that has been hand-carved and mounted in metal to form an elegant centrepiece/fruit display, with a metal mount along the rim, dating from the late 20th century and originating from Seychelles; measures 40 cm wide, 18 cm high, 23 cm deep and weighs 3 kg, in good condition with minor signs of wear and age.

A rare and dramatic specimen of natural Coco de Mer, carved and hand-worked, transformed into an elegant centerpiece / decorative fruit bowl with a metal mounting.
The piece features a refined sculptural treatment that enhances the organic and iconic shape of the fruit, enriched by profiles and finishes in shaped metal applied along the upper edge.
A piece with strong visual impact, halfway between naturalia, organic design, and decorative arts, ideal for collectors of curios objects, sophisticated interiors, or contemporary cabinets of curiosities.
