A celadon glazed cosmetic box from the ancient Chinese culture, Early Ming Dynasty .

In good condition. It has been cleaned by hand, but the nice antique patina is preserved. Traces of use, age and sea deposits on its surface. No cracks,no hairlines. It has been found in the Cu Lao Cham ( Hoi An ) shipwreck, 15th century in the territorial water of the South China Sea in Vietnam.

Purchased mid 90's in Ho Chi Minh City/Saigon - Vietnam by Dr. Zelnik on the local art market.
