Description from the seller
This urn-bearing column from the early 20th century is made of precious dark green marble with natural veining, which gives it a monumental and timeless appearance. The central shaft is finely worked with a series of vertical grooves that recall the classical Doric order, connecting to a smooth circular capital designed to display sculptures or decorative elements. The structure rests on a solid base that ensures stability, completing a design that combines architectural rigor with the craftsmanship typical of the neoclassical taste of the era.
Dimensions: 109x30x30 cm
Good general conservation condition, given the object's age. Signs of normal use over time, visible in the photographs. Small defects, marks and cracks on the surface if any, as shown in the photos.
Observe the photographs carefully as they are an integral part of the description.
**Given the size and weight, in-person pickup is preferable; we are about 1 hour from Milan. We remain available to provide a shipping quote nonetheless.
Tracked shipping including safe packaging, any taxes and duties will be borne by the buyer. Given the dimensions and weight of the object, it will probably be shipped on a reinforced pallet.**
