After fleeing to the West in 1961, Gerhard Richter ventured a stylistic restart.
The family portraits of the Baker family — father, mother, son and daughter — were among the first works at his new base in Düsseldorf.

In 2008, the Frieder Burda Museum, as part of an exhibition, presented a micro-series with exactly these four portraits.
The motifs were framed in the museum’s own workshops, and were offered for sale only during the exhibition at the museum in Baden-Baden.

I do not know the edition size, but there were probably only a few copies.
