Elbaite crystals embedded in a clear matrix from Kunar, Afghanistan, mounted on a support, weighing 172 g and measuring 6.30 × 6.94 × 4.16 cm.
Description from the seller
Natural specimen composed of well-formed elbaite crystals (green tourmaline) implanted in a clear matrix, typical of pegmatites in the Kunar region. The crystals exhibit a prismatic habit with clearly visible longitudinal striations and tones ranging from pale green to deeper green, with translucent zones that enhance the characteristic glassy luster.
The white matrix creates a strong and elegant contrast, highlighting each crystal individually and giving the piece a very balanced visual presence. The distribution of the crystals is harmonious, with several points of interest that make the specimen appealing for both collection and decoration.
Originating from one of the regions most renowned worldwide for the quality of its tourmalines, this specimen well represents growth in a pegmatitic environment where crystals develop over time and space, yielding the defined shapes observed.
Condition: very good, crystals well preserved with small natural imperfections inherent to formation.
Dimensions: 6.30 × 6.94 cm
Weight: 172 g
Aesthetic and collectible piece, with excellent contrast, brilliance, and crystal clarity.
