Original Japanese metal road sign with a stylized image of a steam locomotive, in black on a yellow background. This type of sign was used as a warning sign at level crossings or near industrial railway lines and is characteristic of Japanese traffic signalling from the mid-20th century.

The sign is made enamelled steel and shows patina & signs of use in keeping with its age.
