Rare Triassic Ammonite Paratropites sp.– Glamoc (former Yugoslavia) – Collector’s Specimen
Exceptional fossil ammonite from the Triassic period, belonging to the species Paratropites, discovered in the Glamoc area (former Yugoslavia), a locality well known among collectors for producing rare and high-quality specimens.
Dating back approximately 250–200 million years, this ammonite is a remarkable testament to prehistoric marine life. The specimen displays well-presed morphology, with clearly visible whorls, well-defined suture lines, and a distinct keel (carina), all contributing to its strong scientific and aesthetic appeal.
This specimen comes from an old private collection, assembled over 35 years ago, which further enhances its provenance and collector’s value.
