Russian icon with saints and Christ Pantocrator – 19th / early 20th century

Refined Russian icon painted in tempera on a wooden panel, enriched by a rich gilded riza finely decorated with floral and geometric motifs.
The composition presents, in the upper part, Christ Pantocrator, while in the main scene there are four full-length saints.

"Saints Valeria the Martyr, the Holy Prince Alexander, Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker, and Saint Sergius the Martyr."

The icon is characterized by:
engraved gold background and punched work
vivid colors and well preserved.
Traditional style of the late Imperial Russian school, original inscriptions in ecclesiastical Slavonic language.

Conditions: good overall condition, with normal signs of time and use; small wear and patina consistent with age. Gilded wooden frame (not period to the work).
